The Espada by Montecristo Signature brings to life the cross section of the iconic Montecristo swords where the Plasencia’s rich tobaccos meets the legendary flavor profile that has made Montecristo the icon it is today. This exciting blend was developed by Rafael Nodal, Grupo de Maestro and the Plasencia Family in way that each tobacco’s signature, when blended, creates a harmony of flavors and elevated complexity.

The blend uses a Colorado Claro wrapper grown in the Jalapa region of Nicaragua that is dark brown, with a smooth silky texture, and full of rich flavors of chocolate and spice. This unique wrapper compliments a skillful combination of binder and filler tobaccos from the the Esteli region of Nicaragua to provide intense earthy, sweet and spicy flavors.

The name Valiente, Spanish for “valiant” was given to the limited edition 55 x 6 vitola – which stands for the valiant character each tobacco brings to this blend, whether it’s the spice and sweet notes from the wrapper, or the spicy, earth and wood notes from the filler and binder tobacco.
